Every time we come to Portland, we have to eat here (make reservations at least a week ahead!) The ramen REALLY tastes like in Japan. No other ramen places do it right. The texture, the broth, the flavor. The quality is spot on. Only thing is, it is pricey and the girls at the front are not friendly. (The server was nicer but right after seating us, she told us we only had a certain amount of time to eat.) It's a busy place, sure, so we try not to mind as we just go there for the food... The yuzu ramen is my favorite. Love the yuzu sparkling too. We've had the chirashi, the tartare, and other ramen before. Everything is delicious. Definitely not a place to chit chat (it's loud anyway - save that for a dessert place afterwards).

A bit of a cut above the standard Portland ramen/izakaya place. Watch out on racking up a huge bill because there are lots of tempting items. The food is a bit refined and there are lots of polished looking Portland chef types stationed exactingly throughout the large open kitchen. If you want to try a high end ramen then come!

This spot never disappoints! The drinks are packed with flavor, refreshing, and made with fresh ingredients. I love the variety on the menu—there’s always something new to try, and everything tastes amazing. The ramen is rich and comforting, and the appetizers are just as good—perfect for sharing or starting a meal. The service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is bright and welcoming. A perfect place to grab a treat, enjoy a bowl of ramen, or relax with friends. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and great vibes!

Such a treat. Love the atmosphere. Felt upscale with out being stuffy. Made for a great spot to catch up with family from out of town. The ramen was wonderful but the skewers really were the favorite for the table

All the staff were great- pleasant, attentive, well put together. Our server Josh was SPECTACULAR and is the sole reason I am writing this review, tonight being my 3rd visit over a 2 year period. You know the food is gonna be good, but the stellar service provided by Josh really hit this one out of the ballpark and made an enjoyable evening out even that much better. Josh, if you see this, you are excellent at what you do- keep up the fantastic work! Any establishment would be incredibly lucky to have you on their team!!

We came here on Saturday during lunch, and the restaurant wasn’t very busy. When we arrived, it seemed like there were more employees than customers. By the time we finished, most of the staff were just hanging out and chatting since there wasn’t much to do. The food was very good, but I thought the portion was a bit small. I even joked that maybe it was because it’s Japanese—but Japanese ramen portions are usually bigger than people might expect. We were two native Japanese and one American.

Beautiful space and very good visit overall. Ordered 1 vegan ramen (spicy miso cashew) and 1 traditional pork ramen (shoyu) as well as sushi rolls. It was tasty all around and I’d happily visit again, though would be interested to try the salads, apps, and non-ramen entrees next time.

Love this creative Japanese restaurant, tough to find a parking spot around this neighborhood but totally worth the visit for sure. My friend recommended me the yuzu ramen , but then we happened to try the daily special uni (which was absolutely amazing), Dan Dan noodles, and the 10 pieces of chef choice sashimi.
